Our apartment in Rome

Here's a look at our place in Rome. We got a kick out of the keys - don't they look like they should open a castle??!! Too much. We are definitely in a more "working class" part of Rome and the view is basically of a construction sight but hey, works for us since we're out most of the time anyway. The washing machine here is a bit smaller than the one we had in Prague but it certainly does a job. I'm really glad we got a lesson in how to use it from Cristiano, otherwise, we'd have been fumbling through it big time! The clothes line for drying is outside the window, and as you can see from the pictures, we have to reach through some Christmas garland that they put up to block the not so pleasant view, I guess. So, we have to reach through the garland to pin the clothes out on the clothes line, which is on a pulley system, so you can rotate the line around and get everything hung. Necessity is the mother of invention, right??? The best part is, we have a picture of Sophia Loren that I think she signed for the owner, so with Sophia looking over us, we know we're in good shape.
